Existing shock detectors that has an adjustable thresholds are fixed thresholds meaning that the existing shock detector’s threshold can Not be changed. To a threshold that is based on the barrier that the shock detector is being installed on to. The existing shock detector’s with adjustable threshold makes a person choose from pre-set thresholds that can Not be changed. And the threshold setting can Not be changed and the fixed non- changeable thresholds will cause a lot of false alarms. Due to the threshold being higher or lower than the threshold that is needed to break the barrier. And this will result in a lot of false alarm because the shock detector will trigger the alarm system when someone hits the barrier without breaking the barrier. A barrier can be any surface, IE: A window.
I would like to provide evidence that the existing shock detectors are only adjustable through the fixed thresholds are that the threshold(s) are Not changeable to a user desired threshold.
The shock detector’s manual for the existing shock detector that has an adjustable threshold that is changeable only within the 1 - 19 fixed thresholds that can Not changed to a user desired precise thresholds.
The manual for the shock detector with the Not changeable adjustable thresholds can be downloaded online at following URL : http://cms.dsc.com/download.php?t=1&id=22914
And the threshold information will be found in section 18 of the shock detector’s manual.
